Patients Deserve Better
Last year, Kaiser made the most profits they’ve ever made in a single year: $12.9 billion dollars. They’ve added another $2 billion in profits in the first quarter of this year. Now, in spite of these record profits, Kaiser management wants to layoff nurses in Kaiser’s San Rafael Medical Center and Clinics. This hospital could be next.
Rather than provide face-to-face care, Kaiser is pushing more patients to telemedicine, using untested A.I. technology, and sending money to buy health care corporations in other states. Meanwhile, Kaiser patients like you struggle to get appointments and care. This situation will get even worse if Kaiser eliminates nurse positions here, too.
