In January, nurses at Tulane Medical Center delivered a petition to LCMC calling for recognition of their union and a seat at the table to ensure a fair transition for nurses and patients. An overwhelming majority of nurses at the hospital signed on. LCMC never responded to nurses’ request to meet. On March 28th, a large group of nurses and community leaders went to LCMC’s headquarters to demand that LCMC meet with nurses. The group spoke with Allison Guste (VP of Quality Nursing) and PJ Sebille (VP of Marketing) who assured that LCMC would respond to the request to meet within 24 hours. LCMC has yet to respond.
This is not right. Use the form below to join us in calling on LCMC to do the right thing and meet with nurses and community leaders to ensure that nobody gets left behind in the closure of Tulane Medical Center.
