Tell St. Mary’s: Don’t Silence Nurses!

Dominique Hamilton is a dedicated ICU nurse and Chief Nurse Representative for her union, a role she has held for the past five years. Her unwavering commitment to her community, her fellow nurses, and her patients drives her tireless fight for the highest standards of care in her hospital. Time and time again, Dominique has spoken out when it would have been easier to stay silent, courage that made her a target.

On February 12, 2026, she was wrongfully terminated for her union activity after circulating a petition demanding that hospital administration take concrete steps to make the hospital safer for patients. Since her termination, her fellow nurses have rallied, marched, and called for her immediate reinstatement.

Now, we are asking the very community Dominique has spent years protecting, to stand with her and support the nurses in demanding her return.

We, the undersigned, are calling on St. Mary’s Hospital and Tenet Healthcare to reinstate Dominique Hamilton, an ICU nurse and Chief Nurse Representative for National Nurses Organizing Committee. Dominique has dedicated her career to protecting patients, advocating for nurses, and improving the safety and quality of care in our hospital.

On February 12, 2026, Dominique was unjustly terminated for her union activity. Her leadership has always been guided by courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the community she serves.

By firing Dominique, the hospital has attempted to silence a critical voice for patient safety and workers rights. We believe this action is unfair, unjust, and harmful to both nurses and the patient who rely on their care.
We, the undersigned, demand:

1.  The immediate reinstatement of Dominique Hamilton to her position as ICU nurse at Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital.

2.  A renewed commitment from hospital administration to ensure safe, high-quality care for every patient.

Our community stands with Dominique and the nurses who fight every day to keep patients safe. We urge the hospital to do what is right. Reinstate Dominique Hamilton Now!
